Description

Fifty Summers is made from a blend of Pinot Précoce from a partner vineyard in West Sussex, with a portion of Pinot Meunier from the Wiston vineyards. This rosé is the realisation of a vision first dreamt fifty years before it was made, the first vintage, 2022, marked Harry & Pip Goring’s Golden Wedding Anniversary – and what a fitting way to celebrate this by releasing one of Pip’s favourites – a still rosé. This wine celebrates Pip’s perseverance and patience, her love of life and bringing people together.

This new iteration is a blend of 2024 and 2023 grapes. The 2024 Pinot Précoce brings the rosé colour and red fruit characters. It was fermented in stainless steel and allowed a small amount of contact with the grape skins during fermentation to draw out the beautiful colour. The Pinot Meunier element (19%) was pressed as a still white wine and then aged in old oak barrels. This brings a roundness and smoothness to the blend. After settling, the wine was racked off lees and bottled in April 2025.
