Taking place throughout the year, our tour is fully undercover, winter-friendly and wheelchair accessible, making it a wonderful experience in every season.

Set within Wiston Estate’s 6,000 acres on the South Downs, our vineyards enjoy the ideal conditions for growing exceptional grapes. Your experience begins at North Farm, where our winery provides a welcoming and accessible starting point, with parking conveniently located nearby.

During the tour, you’ll discover the fascinating history of Wiston Estate and learn about the vineyards and unique landscape that surround us. You’ll then step inside the winery to see where our wines are made, including our traditional Coquard Champagne press, tank hall and barrel halls. The experience concludes in our beautiful new tasting room, where you’ll enjoy a tutored tasting of our award-winning Wiston wines and discover what makes English sparkling wine so special. After your tour and tasting, take your time to explore more of what Wiston Estate has to offer. Wander through the vineyards, relax in the courtyard, visit Chalk restaurant or head out into the stunning South Downs countryside for a scenic walk.

• How long is the tour and what does it cost?

The tour lasts 1.5 hours including a talk and tour of the winery and tasting of four wines.

• How regular are the tours?

The Wiston Tour & Tasting operates on: Weds 11am & 2:30pm/ Thurs 11am & 2:30pm / Fri 11am & 2.30pm / Sat 11am & 2.30pm / Sun 11am & 2:30pm

During the Winter period (October – March) we will reduce the tours. 

• Is there an age restriction?

Yes. This tour is strictly for guests aged 18 and over. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anyone under 18.

• When do I need to pay for my tour?

Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

• What do I wear?

The tour is indoors in the winter months so can operate whatever the weather! In the summer months we walk to the vines if the weather allows – so sensible shoes are recommended.

• Do you cater to larger groups?

• Accessibility? 

The tour is fully accessible to wheelchairs with lifts and easy access toilets.

• What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your reservation will receive a full refund.

Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 48 hours before your reservation are non-refundable.

• What happens if I’m running late?

Our tours run at set times, so please let us know if you expect to be more than 15 minutes late.
