11am-Active Breathwork
Begin the event with a guided active breathwork session, helping you transition from the pace of everyday life into the present moment. Through a carefully active practice, Mel will guide you into sharpening your focus, release tension and create space for the evening ahead.
11:45am Power Yoga
The 60-minute Power Yoga class is designed for those with a basic understanding of yoga postures, building on familiar foundations through a dynamic yet accessible flow. Throughout the session, Melania will offer guidance, modifications and alternative options, allowing everyone to move at a pace that feels right for their body and experience. The class incorporates breathwork, although participation is entirely optional. Whether you choose to enjoy both elements or simply the yoga practice itself, this is your opportunity to move in a way that feels comfortable and energising.
12:45pm Wiston Cuvée Aperitif
Following the class, unwind with a glass of award-winning Wiston Cuvée, before gathering for the food.
1:00pm Paulee-Style Lunch
A nourishing three-course lunch served in our Wine Barn. Inspired by the convivial tradition of a Paulée, guests are invited, if they would like, to bring along a bottle of wine that holds special meaning to them and share the story behind it with the group. It’s a relaxed and welcoming way to discover new wines, spark conversation and celebrate the connections that great food and wine create.
More on Active Breathwork
With evocative music in the background and lying comfortably on your back, you’ll be guided through a rhythmic breathing technique designed to quiet the conscious mind and access deeper layers of the body, creating space to release stored emotions and cultivate a greater sense of calm.
Every experience is unique, and you may notice waves of emotion, physical sensations or shifts in energy as the practice unfolds. By intentionally activating a temporary stress response, this breathing pattern helps regulate the nervous system, calm the mind and invite deep rest. The session concludes with a period of relaxation, allowing you to integrate the experience and return feeling more grounded and restored.
About Melania Battiston
Originally from northern Italy, Melania Battiston is the founder of AANYA, inspired by the Sanskrit word meaning “inexhaustible”—a reminder of the endless resilience and energy within us all. An Advanced Sommelier, wine consultant and yoga teacher, she brings together exceptional wine, mindful movement and immersive experiences that inspire connection, wellbeing and a deeper appreciation of both practice and place.
Alongside an international career in luxury hospitality and fine wine, Melania has taught yoga and meditation since 2016. Her passion for breathwork began during a yoga retreat in Panama, where she experienced its transformative power first hand. After training as a breathwork facilitator in 2024, she began weaving breathwork into her teaching alongside Power Yoga to support healing, clarity and self-discovery.
Grounded in the yogic philosophy of Santosha, the practice of contentment, Melania believes yoga extends far beyond the mat. Through AANYA, she curates experiences that blend yoga, breathwork, storytelling and wine, drawing inspiration from the rhythms of nature to create meaningful moments of presence, personal growth and community.
With only a limited number of places available, this intimate event with AANYA offers the chance to enjoy movement, mindfulness and meaningful conversation in one of Sussex’s most beautiful vineyard settings.
We look forward to welcoming you to the vineyard soon!
