Description

This case is an excellent exploration into the breadth and diversity of Wiston Estate’s wines. The case contains:

1 x Brut NV | 1 x Rosé NV | 1 x Blanc de Blancs NV | 1 x Cuvée 2016 | 1 x Rosé 2018 | 1 x Blanc de Noir 2014

The Brut NV is our benchmark wine. Made with equal quantities of the classic Champagne grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), it is blended with 40% of our reserve wines. It combines purity of green apple and ripe lemon flavours with a rich and complex maturity. It is a highly-scented sparkling wine with fine bubbles, lots of toasty, biscuity autolysis from long lees-aging and a long finish.

The Rosé NV is a moreish treat, bursting with aromatic notes of rhubarb, raspberry, strawberry, redcurrant as well as wild roses, lemon zest, and a touch of sherbet on the finish. It is a superbly elegant English sparkling wine with tiny, persistent bubbles and a refreshing acidity that calls you back for more.

The Blanc de Blancs NV is a rare gem – very few non-vintage Blanc de Blancs are currently produced in the UK.  Crisp green apple and delicate notes of kumquat are leading the way with flinty minerality. The wine finishes soft, crisp and clean.

The Cuvée is our flagship wine which is only made in years which produce the best quality grapes. The 2016 is crisp and elegant with smooth integrated bubbles from the time the base wines spend in old oak barrels. Nectarines, honey and brioche make this a real treat to sip away an evening with. Its opulent style and focus allows for a gastronomic adventure too.

The Rosé 2018 is our newest release from the exceptional 2018 vintage. It is a deep orangy pink sparkling rosé with red fruits on the nose, cherries, blood orange and hints of wild roses. Very typical of the fruit forward 2018 vintage. Rose petal on the pallet with a refreshing acidity, an abundance of red fruits and a hint of brioche and vanilla.

Finally, the Blanc de Noir 2014 is a wonderfully rich treat. Toasted brioche on the nose, aromas of lemon cake and nuts, with a round and weighty texture on the palate, and notes of rhubarb, dried orange and greengage. One to while over.
