Celebrating Sussex’s seasonal produce in the heart of the South Downs.
Our menu draws together the highlights of fresh local produce, including ingredients from the Estate and its neighbours, and aims to create dishes that express the nature, heritage, and purpose of the land we share.
Please be aware we source locally and seasonally, so the menus change frequently, and these samples are a guide and may not be exactly what is served when you visit. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance. If you would like to discuss an occasion with us further in advance than this, please email [email protected]
Open Tuesday to Saturday 8am – 5pm. Sunday 9am – 5pm. Breakfast 8am – 11.00am | Lunch Midday to 3pm. Outside these times we serve an all-day food offering of cakes, savoury nibbles and drinks. Open for à la carte dinners on Friday and Saturday 6.30pm to 10pm.

Please note that we are a cashless restaurant, so all payment is required on card. Bookings require card details to secure your table, but no payment is taken.
We can accommodate dietary and allergen requirements – please make a note on your booking, or speak to the team when you arrive.
We do not allow dogs in the restaurant, however they are welcome at tables in the courtyard which will have the same menu as the restaurant and will be open whenever the sun shines!
