OUR WINTER VINTAGE WINE & DINNER EXPERIENCE

Join us for a Friday evening that brings together the best of Wiston Estate, from our chalk soils and sparkling wines to a seasonal six-course dinner at Chalk.

Your evening begins in the winery, where you’ll be welcomed with a cocktail from the Chalk team before heading out on a tour of the winery. If you’ve joined one of our tours before, this experience offers a fresh perspective. While we’ll briefly touch on the story of Wiston and the wines we make here, the focus will be on the wider English wine industry, reflecting on the year in wine and the changing landscape of English winemaking.

When does Taste of Chalk run?
Taste of Chalk runs on selected Friday evenings throughout November, December, February and March. Please check the available dates when booking.

How long is the experience?
The experience begins at 5pm and includes a tour of the winery, a tasting of four special vintage wines, a welcome cocktail and a six-course dinner at Chalk. With the meal at Chalk starting around 6:30pm – we recommend booking return taxis for 9pm.

What does the ticket include?
Ticket price includes: Tour & Tasting, a welcome cocktail from the Chalk team and a six-course seasonal dinner at Chalk. Drinks at Chalk will be charged at the end of your meal. A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your restaurant bill.

Is the experience accessible?
The experience is fully accessible for those with reduced mobility, with lifts and easy-access toilets available.

What should I wear?
The tour takes place indoors in the winery, but we will move between the winery and Chalk during the evening. We recommend bringing something warm for walking through the winery. 

Do you cater for larger groups?
Due to the nature of the menu served in Chalk we can only accept groups of up to 6 diners. If you are interested in booking the whole tour privately please email [email protected] and we would be happy to discuss.

Terms & Conditions

• Please note this experience is only available to guests aged 18 and over.
• Payment is due at the time of booking.
• Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to your reservation will be fully refunded. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your reservation will not be refunded.
• If you are running more than 15 minutes late, please email us at [email protected]. The experience starts at a set time and, if you are unable to join at 5pm, we may need to move you to a later available experience where possible.
• Please provide any dietary requirements or allergies when booking. We are vegetarian friendly, but unfortunately we are unable to cater for vegan guests due to the nature of the food preparation involved.
• The ticket price includes the winery tour, tasting of four vintage wines, welcome cocktail and six-course dinner at Chalk. Drinks ordered with dinner are not included and will be charged separately.
• A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your restaurant bill.

Gift Vouchers

• If you have been given a voucher, you will need to call the Cellar Door team on 01903 877845 to make a booking.
• You can purchase Taste of Chalk as a gift using a monetary Wiston Estate voucher. Simply follow the link below for our Monetary Voucher option under “Wiston Estate: Wines, Tours & Chalk”, then enter the value you would like to purchase.
• Taste of Chalk is £130 per person, so for two guests you would enter £260.
